ABOUT THE BOOK

The Momentum Of A Decision

WE ARE FEARFULLY AND WONDERFULLY made with all the goods inside us, but sometimes we miss our mark and end up on the wrong side of a decision, or more often our life lesson and blessing come in the form of loss and grief. I’ve been there, it was brief and brutal. Being widowed at a young age within a traditional framework that encouraged me to sit staring at a grave, my spirit invoked in me a little spark to rise up and continue what I was called to do. I was at my lowest, but through support and using the momentum of the decision to take care of my children and take the reins on my resurrection, I today stand in the place where I know God wants me to be. It turned out my rock bottom was the launchpad to fulfilling my life purpose in nursing.

When you think of the word, “caregiver” you probably have an idea of what a caregiver is and what they do based on your personal experience. I found compassion as I was tending to my first husband and others in his ward, and I realized that maybe I had missed my calling, but maybe that there are many people who do not have the support going through such a tough time. In the momentum of a decision, I share my caregiving journey.
