ABOUT THE BOOK

Getting Things Done
This book is about a boy who had the insight and support to go beyond the ordinary, against the elements and obstacles, to become a man who stands in the political arena, facilitating the dialogue and development that will take Africa and the world to the next level. From my days of scarcity to studying law and politics in the most developed nations in the world, I am honored to be part of transformation and history in the making. From daily ten-kilometer walks and school lessons under the trees to bringing infrastructure to my hometown, I am part of co-creating a better future, and I remain grateful for being able to live my purpose.
When I reflect on my roots, in a remote, arid, and socio-economically marginalized county in Kenya, where advancement was the exception to the rule for most families, I am reminded that choice and will are often the differentiators. It is completely possible to go with the stream; no one would even blink. But then there is the duty of purpose, of serving, and of acknowledging you are one breath away from something greater. The next few pages are intended to share my story, my life lessons, the source of my strength, and my eternal gratitude. They encompass my awakening to the power of choosing differently and learning that, through both the grim times and the glory, I was intent on Getting Things Done. This book is for anyone who wants to take charge of their life, to lead from the inside out, to achieve greatness in all things big and small.
