Today's Teenagers know how to spend money, but not necessarily how to spend it wisely. Many don't know how to make money in the first place, because it comes from their parent's magical tree. Those teens that work for their money, don't know how to make their money work for them. And those teens who are fortunate enough to accumulate a substantial amount of money will likely see it slip away, because they are not armed with tools and techniques necessary to protect their wealth.

While our education system goes to great lengths in trying to make young people literate, it does not make them financially literate.
