ABOUT THE AUTHOR

Samuel K. Busulwa
SAMUEL K. BUSULWA is an experienced educationist living in Uganda. He was born on a bright day in September, as the ninth child born to Mr. & Mrs. Laban and Eva Semagulu. Samuel K. Busulwa was educated at Makerere University in Kampala, where he attained a BA Honours following it with a Postgraduate Diploma in Education. To continue with his higher Education, he later attended Columbia University in New York, where he did a course in curriculum design, development, and implementation. He was a headmaster of Masaka SS, Aggrey Memorial School and Mengo Senior School. Whilst at Mengo Senior School, he was unexpectedly made a headmaster for King’s College Buddo, where he exceptionally served from 1989 to the end of 2000.
Mr. Busulwa, being a man of integrity and honesty, serves as a Church Warden in the capacity as a member of the diocese synod and also in the capacity on the council as a delegate to the provincial assembly for the church of Uganda. In 2001, Mr. Busulwa became the first full-time Academic Registrar of Nkumba University. Given the great work done while at Nkumba University, after retiring there, he pioneered new courses at Ndejje University especially at the Kampala campus. The courses that he started were Computer Science with Education and Early Childhood Education which led to the increase in intake at the University. Education being his passion, despite having left the Education system, he started a consultancy which is dealing with the training of teachers for schools, giving workshops to teachers on management and designing school curriculum. The interest in this came whilst he was still a headmaster and a member of the National Curriculum Development Centre. As a true educator he lives the life of education. It is not something he does for a career; it is, rather, something he does as a calling.
