Regina Amadi-Njoku

Regina Amadi-Njoku of Nigeria is the Founder of Other Half Empowerment Initiative (OH), a Nigerian NGO that addresses the interplay of culture and gender on development. The NGO provides advisory services in cross-cultural and gender dimensions of development to public and private sector institutions. She has over thirty years of experience in high-level positions in national and international institutions in Africa, Europe, and the United States.

She served as an Assistant Director General and Regional Director of the International Labour Organization in Africa, at the rank of United Nations Assistant Secretary General, between 2000 and 2008. She worked at the World Bank as project coordinator; acted as Regional Programme Director of West Africa for United Nations Fund for Women (UNIFEM), now UN Women; lectured at universities in the USA; and held the position of vice president for Africa at the Mayatech Corporation, a human resource company in Maryland, USA. She serves on boards of several institutions.
