Olive Namutebi

OLIVE NAMUTEBI born an albino and raised amidst stigma, discrimination and prejudice by a single mother, she attained education sponsored by the Government of Uganda at Makerere University she graduated with the second class, honors in Accounting and she was ready for the market place. The courage and determination of her mother influenced the strong and focused woman she is concerning the issues of her kind.

Olive is the founder of The Albinism Umbrella a national voice that engages the community to reduce the vulnerability of persons with albinism promoting and protecting their interests while preventing the violation of their rights. The organization was formed in May, 2015. She is the executive director for Africa Albino Foundation Uganda which seeks to improve the quality of life of the albinos all over Africa.
