Jacqueline Amongin

JACQUILINE AMONGIN born in Ngora District, Uganda is a graduate of Makerere University with a bachelor’s degree in Environmental Management which qualification saw her move directly to becoming a Woman Representative of the 9th and 10th Parliament representing Ngora District in the republic of Uganda.

In 2004 she is the founder of the Jacqueline Amongin Development Foundation (JADEF) a nongovernmental organization. This organization is aimed at promoting change in communities that allows transformation and empowerment using education, information and motivation as its tools.

Jacquiline’s greatest inspiration and motivation are the people, and especially women of Uganda and Africa. Michele Obama said: “the difference between a broken community and thriving one is presence of women who are valued.”
